Excellent condition with comfort upgrades
This is for sale Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4,2 in very good used condition. Thanks to its various comfort upgrades, this E-Type can easily be used in everyday life or for longer journeys.
As part of an extensive restoration in 2009, the body was sandblasted, sealed and completely repainted in Gunmetal Gray. The original Opalscent Dark Green color is no longer visible at any angle. The engine was also professionally overhauled (e.g. pistons, connecting rods, bearings were renewed, improved crankshaft seal, crankshaft and flywheel were balanced). A complete stainless steel exhaust system including manifold was installed.
In order to improve driving comfort, the E Type received the following upgrades: electric power steering (the original steering gear is present), Tarmac 5-speed manual gearbox (original manual gearbox is present), adjustable chassis (height and hardness), modified pedals and a modified seat angle. A 4-piston brake system at the front with internally ventilated brake discs all around in combination with a modern hydraulic 2-circuit brake system brings the E-Type to a quick stop. This means that the E-Type can be moved comfortably by taller drivers even on longer journeys.
