An RS 2.7 heir in a G-model body

The Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI It is considered one of the most sought-after and technically interesting models of the entire G-model era. Built in 1974 and 1975, it is essentially a road-going version of the legendary 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 – including identical mechanical fuel injection (Bosch MFI) and the famous "RS-specification engine." Contrary to popular belief, the MFI engine was not only available in US models but was even exclusive to the European Carrera 2.7 vehicles, while the US version, due to stricter emissions regulations, received significantly less power with its K-Jetronic system. With its light weight, characteristic MFI throttle response, and close resemblance to the RS, the Carrera 2.7 MFI is therefore one of the purest and most sought-after G-models of all time.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupé offered here, model year 1974, is in running condition. The engine runs exceptionally well, and the car is perfectly suited as a restoration project or for use in its current state. The car has its original matching-numbers engine, while the gearbox number cannot be definitively verified due to poor legibility. This Carrera was originally delivered from the factory in the rare and highly sought-after color yellow-green, but was repainted white many years ago.
