The fascination of the Porsche F-model and why the T/E MFI Coupé is so special

The early Porsche 911 F-models Today, these models are among the most timeless and sought-after classics in the entire 911 range. Their purist design, low weight, direct mechanics, and the characteristic features of their air-cooled boxer engines make these models icons of the 60s and early 70s. Variants with mechanical fuel injection (MFI) are particularly popular, as they offer significantly more spontaneous throttle response, greater revving capability, and noticeably better performance compared to the European carburetor models. The T/E MFI Coupé offered here combines precisely these advantages – a rare US model that, thanks to its MFI technology and more powerful engine characteristics, has long been considered a hidden gem among connoisseurs.

A well-maintained specimen in good overall condition.

Typically, this Porsche 911 2.4 T/E MFI Coupé This 1973 model year car is in very good, roadworthy condition and boasts an excellent technical foundation. The car underwent extensive restoration in 2018, including a refresh of the body and interior. As part of this work, the doors received RS-style panels, a Momo sports steering wheel, and sports seats upholstered in Pepita fabric and leatherette. The original silver metallic paint (matching) complements the classic interior perfectly.

The engine is the original (matching) engine with which the car was delivered in 1973 – the Certificate of Authenticity is available. Technically, the car has been meticulously maintained in Norway: in addition to regular servicing, the clutch was replaced in 2018, and in 2025 new timing chains and a hydraulic chain tensioner kit were installed – an important and costly measure to ensure the reliability of early 911 engines. The engine, gearbox, and MFI system are therefore in excellent working order and provide an authentic, engaging driving experience.

The history is clearly traceable: originally delivered in the USA, exported to Japan in 1993, then to Germany in 2013, and finally via England to Norway in 2018. No signs of accidents are visible on the bodywork, and no rust was detected during the last inspection. Overall, this vehicle presents itself in excellent condition. Porsche 911 as a very well-maintained, technically sound and dynamically engaging coupé that impresses both as a classic driver and as a stable investment.
