Well-maintained overall condition with no deferred maintenance.
The elegant and cultured Daimler-Benz 250 SL Pagoda The W113 series is considered one of the most popular classic convertibles among collectors today – and for good reason. With its distinctive, inward-curving hardtop shape ("pagoda roof"), high-quality workmanship, and sophisticated safety body, it was ahead of its time – and also represents the stylish era of the 1960s and early 70s.
Numerous celebrities have chosen the Pagoda over the years – including film stars like Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn, as well as racing legend Stirling Moss. Its combination of timeless elegance, technical sophistication, and authentic driving pleasure made the Pagoda an automotive style icon even then – and continues to ensure that it remains one of the most sought-after models of its time among collectors and at international classic car events.
This Mercedes-Benz 250 SL "Pagoda" (W113) was built on July 1, 1967, and has been in the current ownership since 2005. Originally from the USA, the car has been professionally converted for the German market. It boasts the classic color combination of silver metallic with a black leather interior and impresses with its well-maintained overall appearance and sound mechanical condition, free of any deferred maintenance. The odometer reads 89.000 km, and the vehicle inspection (TÜV) has just been renewed.
As part of a comprehensive restoration, the Pagoda received numerous upgrades, including a reworked 2,8-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing 170 hp, a new black leather interior, a rebuilt front axle, and a new rear axle with a limited-slip differential. A custom coilover suspension was also installed, giving the Pagoda a particularly harmonious lowered stance. The car has covered approximately 5.000 km since the restoration. Extensive documentation of the service history, including details of the restoration work, is available.
This Pagoda impresses with its harmonious overall appearance, solid engineering, and authentic appeal. As a classic car with historic vehicle registration, it offers both classic elegance and a pleasant, direct driving experience – ideal for stylish drives or refined everyday use.
