A rare original vehicle from the early days of the WTCC.
The BMW 320i offered here is an original Schnitzer factory touring car, which was driven by Jörg Müller in 2004 as part of the then FIA-ETCC was used – that series from which the following year the WTCC emerged. The ETCC/WTCC era was one of the most successful periods in touring car racing, with manufacturers such as BMW, Alfa Romeo, and SEAT competing with factory support. BMW and the Schnitzer team were among the dominant forces – the E46 320i S2000 achieved numerous victories and left a lasting mark on the image of BMW touring cars of that time.
The Team Schnitzer Schnitzer Motorsport has been one of the most successful BMW racing teams since the 1960s and particularly shaped the Group A and DTM era with the legendary BMW M3 E30. Championship titles, race wins and a virtually flawless record in the touring car scene made Schnitzer Motorsport a fixture in international motorsport.
Jörg Muller To this day, he is considered one of the most versatile and successful BMW factory drivers of all time: winner in Le Mans classes, champion in touring car and GT series, and a mainstay of the BMW factory program for many years. This BMW 320i is the original Schnitzer factory car that Jörg Müller piloted in the 2004 ETCC season.
After its factory career, the vehicle continued to race in prestigious touring car series, including the Danish Touringcar Championship (DTC), before finally ending up in the hands of collectors.
