Fascination Porsche 911 SC
The Porsche 911 SC is considered one of the most robust and distinctive 911s of its era – with proven technology, classic driving feel, and a huge fan base to this day. Its iconic, mechanical character and the durable 3,0-liter flat-six engine make it one of the most popular entry points into the world of air-cooled 911s.
The one offered here Porsche 911 SC Coupé Originally delivered to the USA in 1981, this 911 SC arrived in Norway in 2013 and, despite its patina, is in solid, honestly aged condition – an excellent basis for a restoration. Technically, the car boasts a 2005 engine and gearbox overhaul, during which it was converted to a 3.2-liter short-stroke (RUF SCR-style) engine; the engine runs very well, and the clutch and gearbox also function flawlessly. The body shows no visible rust damage or signs of major accidents, although it was repainted at some point in a mediocre bluish-silver hue, so the paintwork is no longer in good condition. The interior is largely original, but has hardened and aged over the years. Overall, this 911 SC offers honest and usable substance and sound mechanicals – ideal as a project car or a high-quality restoration base, especially since its original Iris Blue Metallic paint is a highly sought-after color code from the 911 SC era.
